Unit sizes and rates
Floor areas are approximate. Self-storage units are typically about 2.4–2.7 m high, so you can stack boxes well above head height.
Locker
- About 1.5 m × 1 m
- A few boxes, bikes or boards
Around 15–20 boxes, suitcases, a bike or a couple of surfboards. Good for seasonal gear and things you want out of the apartment.
Small
- About 1.5 m × 2 m
- Studio or small one-bedroom flat
The contents of a studio or small one-bedroom flat: a bed, a couch, a few small pieces of furniture and boxes.
Medium
- About 2 m × 3 m
- One- to two-bedroom apartment
A one- to two-bedroom apartment, including whitegoods, or furniture moved out for a renovation.
Large
- About 3 m × 3 m
- Two- to three-bedroom home
A two- to three-bedroom home, or a small business's stock, shelving and display fittings.
Extra large
- About 3 m × 5 m
- Three- to four-bedroom house
A three- to four-bedroom house, or a business that needs room for pallets, equipment and racking.
